 Q. Do I need an appointment to bring in items?

Yes, if you wish to have your items priced before leaving them with us to sell.  You may bring a maximum of 15 items; clothing should be on hangers (1 item per hanger).  Appointments are available Tuesday through Saturday with evening appointments available on Thursdays. You may book on-line. Otherwise see walk ins. 

No appointments available January 2017, July 2017.

Q. Do you accept walk ins or drop offs?

WALK INS and Drop Offs are welcome when a Consignment Representative is on duty (see schedule below in purple). Maximum 15 items. All clothing should be on hangers (1 item per hanger). See schedule below. 

When you arrive your items will be reviewed as soon as possible and you may take home with you any items for which we don`t feel we have a market, or you may leave them for donation to Canadian Food for Children.

Your items will be priced later by our consignment staff. (If you wish to have your items priced at the time of drop off, please book an appointment.) 

A consignment representative will be on duty: 

Tuesday:      10: 00 until 5:00*

Wednesday: 10: 00 until 5:00*

Thursday:     10: 00 until 12:00; 1:30 until 5:00*

Friday:          12:00 until 5:00*

Saturday:      10: 00 until 12:00; 1:30 until 5:00*

Q. What do you take?  

  • Women's designer labels and quality items from better department stores and boutiques

We take ladies clothing (from size 00 to 22), handbags, accessories, and footwear. When selecting items from consignors, preference is given to better quality, higher priced items new within the last 2 years that are current in style, in season, in demand, in excellent condition, odor free, stain free, pet hair free, wrinkle and snag free i.e. ready to wear!

Our customers currently love labels such as:  Tory Burch, Judith & Charles, Eileen Fisher, Burberry, Michael Kors, Lululemon, Coach, Tiffany, DVF, J. Crew, Chico's, Christian Louboutin, Aritizia brands, and Anthropologie brands to name a few. 

Q. What don't you take?

We may not accept items without brand labels, fabric content labels, size indication, or from H&M, Forever 21, Smart Set, Costa Blanca, Walmart, FMX, Ricki's, Sirens, Seductions, Stitches, Old Navy, some Sears labels and other discount/value brands. Although these brands provide great value for the price, we do not profit by reselling them. 

We do not accept designer "knock offs", wedding attire, swim suits or other intimate apparel. Business suits and formal wear are also not in demand. 

Q. What are the consignment terms?

Pricing:

Our in-take staff selects and prices items based on current inventory, selling history, demand, condition, brand, style and season. Items are priced and reduced at our discretion and may be subject to sales and promotions. 

You get:

$20 - $249: 45%

$250 - $499: 50%

$500 - $999: 60%

$1000 and up: 70%

($0 to $20: at our discretion)

You have up to 1 year from the consignment start date to collect your money. We pay cash. A cheque may be issued upon request for a fee.

Consignment period:

We require that you leave most consigned items for a minimum of 7 weeks; 

items $25 and less may stay 60 days;

items $26 and more may stay 90 days.

Item collection and security:

With sufficient notice, we will assist with locating items you wish to reclaim priced at $50 or more: staff time is not allotted to look for items under $50. Items not sold or reclaimed by the expiry date become property of The Comeback. We use security tags and have a security system to aid in the safe keeping of your items. We do not, however, assume responsibility for any loss or damage to consigned items.

Account updates:

You, the consignor, are responsible for following up on the status of your account either by website inquiry, email, phone 416.231.0381, or in person. We recommend checking-in once a month. Current consignment terms are posted on our website and are subject to change.  You may keep yourself up-to-date by reviewing them each time you consign. 

Q. When do you accept Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter items?

Spring: February 1st to April 31st
Summer: May 1st to June 22nd
Fall: August 1st to Sept 28th
Winter: Oct 15th to mid December

No appointments Sept 29th - Oct 13th, 2016. We do not book appointments during January or July.
